Certificate Center

Certificates, checked before they're issued

Need a certificate for a job, lease, or event? Send us the holder's details and insurance requirements. We'll check them against your policies and let you know if anything needs attention.

How we review requests

  • Requirement appears satisfiedMatches the coverage and endorsements on file — ready to issue.
  • Agent review requiredSpecial wording or limits a licensed agent confirms first.
  • Endorsement may be missingWe tell you what the policy needs before a certificate goes out.

Examples of the outcomes we tell you about — not an assessment of your policy.

Request a certificate

For current ALP clients. We verify every request before issuing. Fields marked * are required.

Copy the wording the holder asked for, if you have it.

Contract, insurance requirements or sample certificate (recommended)

Files are sent over an encrypted connection to ALP's private document storage and are never published on this website.

What happens next

  1. 1We confirm the request comes from the insured or someone they authorized.
  2. 2We compare the holder's requirements with your policy.
  3. 3If your policy already provides what's required, we issue the certificate and send it to you.
  4. 4If an endorsement or policy change is needed, we contact you before anything is issued. Changes need the insurance company's approval and may affect your premium.

Requests are handled during office hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm ET). Need it urgently? Send the form, then call (201) 945-2408.

Speed it up

  • Upload the insurance section of the contract, not the whole contract, when you can.
  • Include the exact holder name and address.
  • Tell us the project name or job address if the holder asked for it.

Good to know

A certificate is evidence of insurance. It can't add coverage the policy doesn't have — additional insured or waiver of subrogation usually require an endorsement on the policy.
